Baker Brook Pond, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland.

Typical of the fjordland scenery in Gros Morne National Park, this aerial view shows the coastal lowland backed by the 500-700 m high Long Range Mountains. The smooth summits are relics of a preglacial surface that was deeply weathered and worn by rivers. Later, glaciers repeatedly followed an old V-shaped valley, shaping it into a wide U-shaped trough about 200 m deep.
