Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (map)

Expertise:

Bedrock geology - northern B.C

Activities:

Her current work includes leading a collaborative research project on energy resources of the Bowser and Sustut basins titled: "Integrated Petroleum Resource Potential and Geoscience Studies of the Bowser and Sustut Basins". The GSC’s primary partner is the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines (Oil and Gas Emerging Opportunities and Geoscience Branch). In this project geological framework studies by Evenchick and colleagues will be integrated with energy resource studies and resource assessment conducted by colleagues in the GSC’s Calgary office. Evenchick’s emphasis is on stratigraphic and structural syntheses of the Bowser Basin / Skeena Fold Belt region, and from these, a first model for the depositional history of the Bowser Basin based on lithofacies mapping and a regional fossil database.
