Field-based and process-related studies to understand U-Pb geochronology systematics and applications. Application of geochronology to unraveling the tectonic evolution of orogenic belts, specifically the Canadian Cordillera and Appalachians. Research involves U-Pb dating in a wide variety of geological terranes and environments ranging from Mesoarchean to Eocene in age. Current research projects involve precise U-Pb dating with application to chronostratigraphic and biochronological timescales.
